Scout Sunday, February 7th

Reminder tomorrow February 7th is Scout Sunday. St. Blaise is having a formal Scout Sunday Mass at St. Blaise on at 10:00am.

This is a wonderful opportunity for all scouts, regardless of their religious affiliations to gather and recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting and to the community.

Father Al would like to have the scouts fully participate in the mass by ushering, doing readings, offertory, bringing the gifts, etc. Please pass this information on to all of your units and please encourage all to attend and participate. We ask that each unit please bring their unit flag and flag stand so that we can display each unit flag on the altar. Please have all scouts and adult leaders in Uniform. If any scouts would like to participate in the readings, ushering, etc., please have them contact me so that we can get readings to those who will read and make sure that all who wish to participate are prepared to do so.

It would also be wonderful if the scouts could each bring a food pantry item for the offertory. Also, St. Blaise is helping to raise pennies for the Little Angels Splash Pad in memory of Alexander Shaw. (The Shaw family is hoping to build a splash pad at Kasper park in Silver Lake for the kids in Bellingham. There are bottles at church to collect any pennies that you may have. Our goal is to raise a mile of pennies, that is 84,480 pennies! for this great cause.

You can also attend any service you wish but remember to do so in uniform to be recognized.
