Hiking up Wachusett on Saturday

As they like to say at Camp Wanocksett, this is an “off the grid bonus activity”. This trip is optional (has no impact on earning the gold bead for attending all trips)

The hiking up Mt Wachusett will see members of troop 14 complete the hiking of the “3 sisters” (Watatic, Monadnock, Wachusett), which is how the name of Camp Wanocksett was drawn from.

If you plan on attending please do the following:

• RSVP by Monday 8-16-10 to Mr. Lussier
• RSVP on time, or you will not be able to attend
• Complete and submit a permission slip
• Be prepared to hike up Mt Wachusett
• Bring ample water bottles
• Bring good hiking boots
• Bring foul weather gear
• Bring a good appetite
• Bring “you” to fuel the fellowship at the fire

Menu will be planned and shopped for by adult staff, cooking and clean up will be completed by adults and scouts, a good learning/review opportunity (Copious amounts of fried spam and a bottle of moxie for everyone)

The 4 meal trip will cost $12 per scout

Meet at scout post Friday 8-20-10 6:00pm
Depart scout post Friday 8-20-10 6:30pmish
Arrive back at scout post Sunday 8-22-10 12:00noonish
